Originally built to be hurled from the belly of an air force aircraft into unforgiving terrain, the Mercedes-Benz GD240 is anything but your average G-Wagen. Developed for the Singapore Armed Forces, these airdrop ready, open-top reconnaissance machines were engineered with absolute purpose, stripped back, lightweight, and equipped with military features such as blackout lighting and pintle mounts for operational use. With only around 60 ever produced, they represent one of the rarest and most uncompromising iterations of the G-Class platform. At Arcade, we’ve made it our mission to revive a select few of these airborne legends. Limited to just 10 builds, each GD240 is meticulously restored and reimagined for modern road use, while preserving its raw, battle born DNA. This example is finished in Pacific Blue over a Palomino interior, featuring a rear bench seating configuration (2+4), a fully restored original Mercedes-Benz OM616 2.4L inline diesel engine, and a Blaupunkt AV system paired with an upgraded sound system. The result is a machine that feels raw, authentic, and purpose built a true reflection of its military origins, redefined for modern driving.
